ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRUCTION AND REMEDIATION
Bio-Polymer Drains
The Bio-Polymer slurry drain technique offers a cost-effective method of collecting contaminated groundwater for treatment and disposal. The Bio-Polymer drain is constructed using the slurry trench technique with a biodegradable carbohydrate instead of bentonite as the active ingredient in a water-based slurry. This modified slurry trench technique provides permeable trench drains that can be constructed without dewatering, sheeting and shoring, or personnel working in the trench. The principal advantages of Bio-Polymer drains are high groundwater transmissivity, rapid installation sequence, enhanced safety environment for workers, and greater depth capability.
In addition to the Bio-Polymer drain method, Geo-Con also constructs conventional open-cut deep trenches to install drainage systems. This range of systems allows Geo-Con to provide the most cost-effective groundwater interceptor trench for the required application.
