ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRUCTION AND REMEDIATION Site Remediation/Caps/Closures Geo-Con provides a wide spectrum of field services for CERCLA, RCRA, ECRA or hazardous waste site cleanups and closures. With Geo-Con managing the cleanup, one contractor is responsible for the earthwork, waste treatment/disposal or construction of a containment system. Our staff is experienced and can ensure compliance with Federal and state required regulations and cleanup plans. Geo-Con can provide a turnkey design/build program for major waste cleanup projects in a cost-effective manner. We maintain a diverse and extensive fleet of equipment and material resources located throughout the country to serve client needs in handling any environmental problems. Our company owned equipment includes rolling stock (trucks, trailers, vans, etc.), heavy equipment (cranes, backhoes, dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.), specialty equipment (soil augers/mixers, hydraulic hammers, pug mills, long-reach excavators, etc.), marine equipment (boats, motors, trailers, etc.), small equipment (air compressors, various pumps, pressure washers, etc.), health and safety equipment (usually rented air samplers, organic vapor analyzers, etc.), and miscellaneous personal protective equipment. This vast array of equipment enables Geo-Con to self-perform most htmlects of multi-disciplined remediation projects which reduces overall project costs and allows for a more timely project completion. Geo-Con's staff possesses a wide range of professional and technical expertise within the remediation and construction disciplines. We maintain a labor pool of qualified, OSHA trained professionals experienced in all crafts. We can draw on this diverse experience when responding to virtually any environmental problem which allows us to efficiently and cost effectively satisfy our clients needs. Soil contaminated with petroleum products, hazardous materials or hazardous waste generated as a result of Underground Storage Tank (UST) removal, facility decontamination, or site remediation, can be treated or disposed by Geo-Con. Geo-Con can provide the customer with the various treatment/disposal options available to properly manage wastes. Geo-Con's technologies for containment construction include landfill construction, geomembrane installation, and cap closures. The company can provide total landfill construction services, including earthwork, soil and synthetic liner installation, gas and leachate collection systems, and capping. In addition to landfills, Geo-Con has performed many retrofit projects to bring facilities and surface impoundments into regulatory compliance. Geo-Con specializes in the installation of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) synthetic liners. Geo-Con's capabilities also include composite liner systems. Liner systems that include polyethylene liners may also require construction of a soil liner. This can include natural clay and/or soil-bentonite mixtures. Geo-Con can supply all labor, equipment and materials, including warranty on all materials and workmanship, in accordance with generally accepted industry standards. Geo-Con constructs landfill cells and landfill covers for hazardous and sanitary wastes. Along with our geomembrane capabilities, we also install natural clay and soil-bentonite liners to provide total landfill construction through a single constructor. Geo-Con has installed over 60 million square feet of polyethylene liners at sanitary and hazardous waste landfills, dams, canals, tanks, leachate ponds, settling ponds and aeration lagoons.
