Soil-Bentonite Cutoff Wall
Sheridan, Oregon
Construction of 44,880 sf soil-bentonite cutoff wall to a maximum depth of 21 feet. The cutoff wall, with a maximum permeability of 1X10-7 cm/sec, contains a DNAPL plume at the Taylor Lumber Wood Treatment Facility. The cutoff wall was constructed around numerous subsurface utilities including active gas and sewer lines. The project included the construction of a gravel cap, geosynthetic clay liner, and geotextile.
