Excavation Support Wall

The project included installation of a support wall for a new Coker facility
on an existing oil refinery. The support wall was installed via Deep Soil Mixing methodology with steel beams (W24 x 117) inserted via auxiliary crane and vibratory hammer. The project included drilling and beam installation to depths of 82 feet to cut off various sand layers. The excavation was internally braced to 60 feet.
The project involved numerous submittals and client/plant oversight. It was successfully completed without an OSHA recordable incident.
