Work consisted of constructing 46,865 square feet of soil-aggregate-bentonite slurry wall through two embankments. The slurry wall was 19.0 feet deep with a 24-inch width. The cutoff wall was to provide embankment stability as well as acting as a groundwater seepage barrier. Pea gravel was proportionally added to the soil-bentonite backfill prior to placement in the trench. Equipment used in constructing the cutoff wall included a Komatsu PC-200 excavator, Komatsu D65P Bulldozer, slurry desander, slurry batch plant and other earth moving equipment
